GPA Media Corp uses a highly reputable company outside of the U.S. to manufacture its spiral-bound notebooks. This company adheres to recognized international standards and does not employ any “sweat shop” labor practices
In addition, our manufacturer is ISO 9000 compliant. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the leading body for establishing rigid standards of operation and practice. In particular, the ISO 9000 standard is noted for improving working standards around the world. It requires company’s to provide suitable infrastructure, resources, information, equipment, and environmental conditions for their employees. Furthermore, the production of the GPA Media notebooks is almost entirely automated with supervision by trained professionals and uniformed employees.
Environmental "Green" Practices
GPA Media has a commitment to environmental stewardship and ethical sourcing, and has selected Kimberly-Clark as its paper vendor given its superior environmental programs. In addition, through its commitment to the environment GPA Media Corp uses environmentally friendly materials, such as partially recycled paper, and manufacturing processes, such as those standards set by the ISO. GPA Media supports and believes in the Outdoor Advertising Association of America's (OAAA) mission "To lead and unite a responsible outdoor advertising industry that is committed to serving the needs of advertisers, consumers, and the public." In standing with this ideal, GPA Media works on a contract basis with all of its colleges to ensure legal and appropriate design, production, and distribution of its notebook media to college students.
